PAHANG CAMP!! Part 2
Well this is the second part of my adventure in Pahang... (Ranger: Power Ranger, Explorer: Dora the Explorer, Hunter: Monster Hunter xD) anywayz...
Day 3: Well we woke up as usual (6:30am), and gathered at the girls campsite to do our morning exercise (as usual =.=)... Oya got 2 intro some interesting campsongs. One of 'em goes like this: Lychee kang seman kok dua kupang, lychee kang. Lychee kang seman kok dua kupang, lychee kang. Lychee kang, seman kok dua kupang, makan sike da kenyan, seman kok dua kupang, lychee kang! (malay song). Anywayz back 2 the camp ==> after finishing morning activities, we unpitched our tents and went to eat breakfast. Half of us were 2 do flying fox and river crossing firs then white water rafting after lunch. The other half, vice versa. I belonged 2 the first half, so, flying fox, here we come! So yea anywayz, we climbed 2 some high point 2 this treehouse like thingy that has 2 cables leading down 2 a beach. Inbetween the beach and the 'treehouse', there is a river. We had helmets and safety vest and were clipped on to the cable one-by-one and slid down. There was only one word 2 discribe it: 'no-kick'. Seriously... it was pretty boring. The distance was average and the angle of gradient wasn't too great either, so yea, it was pretty boring. After landing on the beach, we will walk 2wards the river for river crossing. Then got one funny bastard monkey instructor will call out 2 you. He will say smth like: Come, come, i help u check your vest (he is standing in the river btw). When u go infront of him, you will suddenly be surrounded by the people who has already landed from the flying fox. Then he will say: Come my frens, 1! 2! 3!~ and the consequence was obvious. Soaked. Evry single one gets the treatment. Ofcourse there will be people crossing the river at the same time, using a rope attached from one end of the river bank 2 the other end. In the middle will be a strong current smashing at you. Weaker ones will get washed away. Then another funny monkey bastard instructor at the middle of the rope will be shouting: EH! U BOY OR GIRL! HUH? BOY OR GIRL? Listening 2 his taunts bui ta han. Den got some funny asshole go shout back: U MONKEY OR GIRL? Hahaha xD so damn funny seeing the sight. Well anywayz, after we finished, we sat on some rocks beside a rapid, waiting for the other half of the ranger team to water raft finish. As they pass by on the rapids, we will shout: EH BUFFALO! wahahaha so funny! den we gathered for lunch and swiched stations. Now it time for white water rafting (i dunno where the name is being derived from, cause from the looks of the river, it should be called brown water rafting =X). Yea well anywayz, we practised floating on water, climbing back onto a boat, and capsizing. Overall the whole process was pretty fresh and amusing but a little monotonus. Keep shouting: Row! Row! Row! or Left! Right! Left! Right! isn't the most interesting thing 2 do. Yea well, we kinda sprayed each other with water with the oars whenever any boats passby each other, pretty barbaric i would say, barbaric but amusing XDDD. Then after which, was the other groups turn to shout 'buffalo' at us. At the last and most violent rapid, a boat capsized and all of its members fell out, it was a funny sight although it could hav been dangerous. Luckly no one was hurt haha. After all the fun, we dried and washed up and went back 2 rest for the rest of the time. We had a fun time talking about happenings. Later on, we carried our bags and took the bus again to meet the Rangers B. We met at the same campsite so when we all pitched our tents, it was pretty cramped, after all, 150 students in a campsite is bound 2 be cramped. We had our dinner at this restrauraunt floating on the river. Nothing special happened there. Then we went back 2 our campsite. There was seriously an unlimited supply of cicadars there. For those city kids out there who doesn't noe wad a cicadar is, it is the insect that make all the 'creeek''creeek' noises at night. You alwayz hear them but don't see them. Well they're pretty big and intimidating, but very easy 2 catch. I caught one. It doesn't struggle. Well can't struggle 2 be exect. Cause its wings are beneath the hard cover shell, so wen u grab its shell, its wings are stuck inside. HAIYA! enuff of insect kingdom, coming back to the camp. That night, i slept with Sheng Han and Shameer. You can imagine the sacarsm and the stupid annoying remarks that i hav 2 go through throuout the night, though it was funny. I had an overall well spent night if not for the rain *grumble grumble*. Some other people didn't wake up to zip up their tent and thier tent got flooded WAHAHA!!~~ luckily i woke up because of the pattering sound and zipped up the tent, but the shoes outside were not spared. Luckily i only left my sandals out there. Silly sheng han's converse shoe was a gonner. For this last day, we had trekking, canopy walk, and rapid shooting. First, we had trekking. The starting part was not 2 bad, the gradient wasn't too steep and the footing was alright. But when it reached the higher part of the hill, it was like, whoa. we had to cling on to the rope railings 2 pull ourselves up the steep places and the footings were random. We rested on the summit for a moment 2 enjoy the view and catch a few leeches. The down trekking was even more treacherous. Plus, we got into a traffic jam with some CHIJ girls trekking upwards, (not that im complaining, some of them were pretty hot XDDD). Then we rested for awhile again before we went for the canopy walk. (canopy walk is basicly walking on a bridge hanging above the trees). It was fun shaking the bridge and watching the people infront who has the fear of heights cursing and swearing hanging for dear life, it was a funny sight, juz like seeing sheng han bullying chantal, very amusing. Then we reached the exit of the forest and reached a river where we are going 2 do the rapid shooting. We collected our lunch boxes and ate on the boat b4 it moved. There were some spoons missing from some of our lunch boxes and i sui sui kena until one. I had 2 use firs my bottle cap as spoon, then a 3rd hand spoon. Passed down from generation to generation XD. It was quite unhygenic but i couldn't care less. People who noes me noe that i'm a pretty disgusting person, so yea well, im not so paticular abt hygene. After we finished eating, the boat started at last, there were 4-5 super long motor boats for us 2 ride on. The speed was fast. HEHEHE... double the speed, double the splashing. We used our hands while our monkey guides used the oar to spray the other boats. Sometimes the boat sui den trapped in between 2 boats then the students in it sui lor. Anywayz, people who got out from the boats were all wet and soaking. So wet until all the shirt can see through one, lucky for those who wore black shirts (unlucky for girls who wore white shirt =X). Weeeeeelllll annnyyywayzzz. We went back and bathed and cleaned up and waited for our bus 2 come pick us up 2 the last station, the reunion dinner!!! *sob* so happy and reliefed. The happenings at the reunioun is to be continued.
