PAHANG CAMP!! Part 1
I'll try to be detailed in the happenings during the first part of Pahang camp... and oya... ahhh~~ its great to be back. Makes me realize how lucky most Singaporeans are (not that i didn't noe that from the start... i juz realized it in a deeper meaning) and how we are struggling with such tiny matters that doesn't change anything even if it was corrected...
First day (Mon): i woke up at 5:15am and went downstairs at 5:45am and waited for my fren's dad's car 2 tongbang me... reached sku, assembled at hall, waited for damn long time, den setted off at last at around 7++am... oya my group is Ranger 3 btw... it was a damn long trip and at last we reached some uulu place... we went down some stairs to a river den we boarded 2 seperate boats to another island... I'm very bad at names so i can't really rmbr the name of that place but i think its something Negara... well anywayz when we reached the island, the instructor gathered us, army style, y'noe the 'call me sir' and 'syncronize your watch with mine' kinda stuff... he taught us how 2 set up tents, it was a pretty easy process... except that it was in the dark... sianz
he said three person in a tent but i couldn't find any1 who wanted 2 slp with me... so i built my own tent in the dark... i didn't bring a torchlight cause i didn't think the camp would be so harsh and i was only later in the camp after i finished the tent wen Joyce lent me her spare torch so, yea, it was tough. Den later we ate dinner... the food sucked, but i dun mind... im not 2 choosy abt food anywayz as long as its not 2 spicy. Den later one bastard go throw out my bags from my tent and took my tent away while i was eating... after searching, i found out that it was actually the instructor who threw my bags out cause he said that 3 per tent... the tent i was using was an extra... even though i was the one who did not follow instructions, i still felt that the instructor very bastard because i put so much effort into building my first tent alone in the dark. But anywayz... so i slept with 2 malay guyz in the end... i couldn't slp in the first nite cause i wasn't used 2 slping in such a stuffy environment, and summore one of the malay bodoh go and smoke b4 coming into the tent and smoked the tent... after the second malay farted, it was the last straw. i dragged my slping bag out and slept on the beach... luckily the sand was nice and clean and the air was cooling. i fell aslp without much problem. i woke up soon after maybe somewhere between 4-6am cause i felt very wet i looked at the river we came by and saw a layer of mist over it. i was damn creepy so i dragged my wet and sandy slping bag back into the tent and tried 2 slp... later i realized it was because of the morning dew that made me and my bag wet.

2nd day (Tues): We woke up at 6:30am (suppossed 2 be at 6 but nvm cause i dont wash up in the morning) and gathered at 7 2 do moring exercise... it was dumb, really but o well. We had our breakfast soon after (nasi lemak with SUPER spicy chilli sauce) and then we had 2 pack up our tents and leave for the bicycle challenge. Note: for those who didn't noe yet, im in a Ranger group which means that our main activities are cycling, flying fox, river crossing, trekking and rapid shooting. Different groups (hunter and explorer) have different activities. So yea, anywayz i was going 2 cycle 2day. We collected our helmets and water bottles and chose our bikes. We set off energeticly. Since we were 2 cycle 52KM 2day, the organizer decided 2 stop 4 times in between. The first one was quite hard because it was the first lap and we were warming up and it has the longest distance among the 4 sections, 20KM. i lagged bhind in the middle but chased up in the end and became one of the top 10. We continued seeing ppl streaming in after 20- 30 mins after i arrived and the bastard Mujahid go and tongbang the motorike, y'noe, the ones that ride bside us 2 provide us with water bottles wen we are thirsty. Den the second section started. I was fully warmed up, pumped up and ready 2 go. This section was hard on the weaker ones. It connected 2 the main road half way through the ride and the main road was a upslope mountain path, after evry downslope there was a steeper upslope. I reached there as 6th 2gether with Caleb (the 2A one). We had lunch at that checkpoint. As far as im concerned, that lunch in that checkpoint was the best throughout the camp not counting the reuniun dinner. As I sat on my bike and got ready for the 3rd section, I felt the strain in my legs as well as my butt (try sitting on a bike for 2-3 hrs straight). This round was more exhausting than before, before this round ended, i could already feel my fatigue coming onto me. The last round was pure torture i tell you, i can't even imagine that i could actually feel and endure this kind of pain. It started drizzling before we started the last round. I put on my poncho and started cycling. The second half of this whole cycling of 52KM gave us lesser and lesser downlope and more upslopes, so much more for the final 4th section. The last time i heard, it had 5-6 super steep upslopes and alot of ppl had 2 either tongbang the motorbikes or take the bus that transports tired ppl who cannot cycle anymore. Even though i kena overtaken like siao liadat, im proud 2 say that i did not nid any assistance and finished the whole thing by myself. i still ended up as top 10-15 even though it is very mian qiang one. After the whole thing, we took the bus and went 2 another place. Wen we came down from the bus, i could feel my leg muscles hardening. Well we went 2 this campsite and pitched our tents and we went 2 wash up and slp. It had a conviniance store nearby so every1 who had ringit stocked up on twisties and mentos. This is the end of the 2nd day.
